Re: The Passing of Steven Sindos:
Hello to Steve's other family,
Thank you all for your kind words and offers of support during this horrible time. I want to give you some initial details as we are finalizing plans.
Next Friday morning Sept 27 we will have a wake at George Davis Funeral home in New Rochelle followed by burial in Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla NY next to my other brother.
We are then looking to have a Life Celebration on Saturday afternoon in either Manhattan or Brooklyn. I still need to find an event place for that.
More to come as plans finalize. Thank you all for being a friend to my dear brother, and for loving him as much as we do.

Steve was a friend, a brother, to me and many, many others. We went to college togther and both became lawyers. Steve and me and many of our close friends were kindred spirits – everything fun we did together. Every important life event Steve was a part of. Words cannot convey the magnitude of this loss for those who love Steve. But we’ll keep the music playing somehow. Til then my brother.

Wendy, I saw the post last night from Marie and was also shocked. Steve was my homeboy from New Rochelleas you know and a big part of our BU family. As you mentioned his wit, dry sarcasm...lol which was Steve, and a willingness to make a change in this world by working at Legal Aid will always be remembered.

Steve to M-C: "I like your weight." I'll never know if it was a compliment or insult. That was one funny dude!

...Our hearts are broken today with the loss of our close friend. His wit, (how funny was Steve) intelligence (soooo smart) and commitment to his friends (there when you needed him) will be missed. Let alone all those he has helped throughout his career. The Hobby household is in shock and grief. My husband has lost another brother. Rest in peace Steve. We love you.

My heart is like lead. R.I.P. Steve Sindos. The crew is down one but your quick wit, dry humor, sarcasm, brilliance, and warm heart will be forever etched in our memory. Guess I have go to have some XO and a cigar. Love you Bro!!!

For those of you whom are not aware, I am sadden to say that Steven Sindos has passed away. When arrangement information is available, it will passed on to everyone. For now, hold his family in your prayers.
Peace to you and yours.

After this weekend, people were once again talking about doing a reunion. I am sort of tied up until October 15th but willing to start discussing the matter soon after. Just writing you guys initially but can expand the group upon discussion.

Peace.

Hi All,
I’m assuming the 2013 reunion is coming by way of The Golden Decade Foundation Conference (10/4 in the DC area) mentioned on the BU 50 web site (http://bu50.yolasite.com/), or is that something else?
Inquiring minds want to know : )

Just had a good talk with an old BU alum and we came to the conclusion that it may time to do it again.
We know the only way to start it is to start it. So let's get it poppin!
I know I don't have everyone's email address on this. I am hoping Mr. Jones will spread the word via the BU 50 website.
Rather DC, PA, MA, or NYC, let's get going!
I know how you do!

I'm all in. Usual time, usual place.

Would this be that class of ’82 30th reunion…I usually go earlier, but could probably coordinate Labor Day at this early date.

I was thinking about coming up for the Diva's Uncorked thing for the weekend.
Wanda Jackson
That sounds interesting.

Another idea to consider, I know Howard does an event the week before Labor Day (Bisons on the Vineyard) and I had thought we could do something with them and our star professor/their alum the author of the "Warmth of other Suns" Isabel Wilkerson. A book signing/reading or something along those lines.

Here is an idea, why don't we see if we can get BU theatre professor Lydia Diamond to come discuss her play "Stick Fly" on the Vineyard. How would we go about setting up a weekend of events?
